Sauk County announces temporary closure of CTH GG for road construction April 20

The Sauk County Highway Department announced on April 16 that CTH GG in the Township of Bear Creek, between Whitemound Drive and STH 23, will be closed to all traffic for road construction on Monday, April 20 from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The road will reopen to traffic after work concludes at 3:30 p.m. on the same day.

The department said the work zone for this project will be located approximately 1,500 feet east of Whitemound Drive. Residents and motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the scheduled closure period.

The Sauk County Sheriff provides community safety services including tip lines for reporting crimes and access to public records, fostering transparency and engagement, according to the official website. The office operates a law enforcement center at 1300 Lange Court that houses administrative offices, a jail, and a Huber Center. The sheriff’s office serves more than 65,000 residents across Sauk County by delivering efficient law enforcement within budgetary constraints.

The department is led by an elected sheriff with support from command staff including chief deputy, captains, lieutenants and sergeants as detailed on the official website. The sheriff’s office covers all areas of Sauk County providing both law enforcement and corrections services.

CTH GG in Franklin Township will close temporarily for road construction on May 20 and May 21. The highway department advises drivers to use alternate routes during daytime hours. Services from the Sauk County Sheriff remain available throughout the county.
