The Sauk County Highway Department announced on Apr. 30 that CTH Q, located in the Township of Woodland between the Vernon County Line and CTH G, will be closed to all traffic for road construction from Monday, May 4 until Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The closure will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The road will reopen to traffic after 3:30 p.m. each day during this period.

The temporary closure is necessary to complete scheduled construction work and ensure safety for both workers and drivers. Local residents and commuters are advised to plan alternate routes during the affected hours.

The Sauk County Sheriff provides community safety services including tip lines for reporting crimes and access to public records, fostering transparency and engagement, as per the official website. The sheriff’s office operates a law enforcement center at 1300 Lange Court that houses administrative offices, a jail facility, and a Huber Center.

Serving more than 65,000 residents across Sauk County, the sheriff’s office delivers law enforcement and corrections throughout the area under an elected sheriff supported by command staff including chief deputy, captains, lieutenants and sergeants. Its stated aim is efficient service within budgetary constraints while protecting county residents according to information provided by the official website.
