Sonja Passant named associate director of Platteville Analytics and Institutional Reporting Services

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced on May 18 that Sonja Passant has been appointed as the Associate Director of Platteville Analytics and Institutional Reporting Services (PAIRS). Passant will begin her new role on Monday, May 18.

Passant’s appointment is expected to support the university’s efforts in strategic planning, decision-making, and resource allocation through data analysis. PAIRS provides analytic and reporting services that have contributed to enrollment strategies and student outcomes at UW-Platteville.

“Sonja brings a strong combination of analytic expertise, thoughtful communication and a collaborative approach to serving the information needs of our campus,” said John Dunning, Assistant Chancellor for Strategy & Planning and Chief Data Officer. “We look forward to her leadership in this new role as she continues to partner with colleagues across UW-Platteville, and beyond, to strengthen our data-informed decisions and outcomes.”

Passant currently serves as the Institutional Research Analyst within PAIRS. She has worked at UW-Platteville since 2019 in various roles supporting enrollment projections, student outcomes assessment, and strategic initiatives. Passant holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics from UW-Platteville.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville was founded in 1866 as a public university located in Platteville, Wisconsin. It is part of the Universities of Wisconsin system.
