Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 10
Derek Miller: I got the COVID-19 vaccine.
I got the vaccine for the sake of my family, also my neighbors, some of whom have health conditions that leave them at risk to be severely harmed by COVID-19.
The good news is this, that things are certainly different and they're better than they were at this time last year. We can all be out and about more than we were 12 months ago, and one of the big reasons that things are better is the COVID-19 vaccine.
However, we still have a long ways to go to get closer to our new normal. The vaccination rate in our area is low. It's still too low. We need to aim higher and we need to have more people step up to the plate and get their vaccine.
I know that many people have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, this is understandable, but I encourage you to check out the Sauk Prairie Healthcare Website to get more information and get good answers to your questions, including where you can get it.
It's Our Best Shot.
