FOIA Request to Town of Elk Grove Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continuous efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Town of Elk Grove. The request, made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., is for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As an organization committed to transparency and holding public institutions accountable, access to such public records is essential for us in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. We believe that this information will not only contribute to our reporting but also provide the public with valuable insights into their community's electoral participation.
