FOIA Request to City of Cuba City Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that this information will contribute significantly to our coverage of the recent election and its implications for our community.
We requested these records in electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we also requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
