FOIA Request Sent to Village of Hollandale Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024

FOIA Request to Village of Hollandale Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have formally requested records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., from the Village of Hollandale. The request specifically asks for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such public records is essential for us in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. We believe that by gaining access to these records, we can better inform our readers about their community's electoral participation.

We have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional due to our role in disseminating information to the public. We await a response from the Village of Hollandale and will continue our efforts in bringing light to important local issues through rigorous journalism.

Should there be any questions or concerns regarding this request, we are open for discussion and clarification.
