FOIA Request to Village of Woodman Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Woodman. We are seeking a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
Our mission as a media organization is not only to gather and report news but also to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public. Access to public records is essential for us in fulfilling these professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
