FOIA Request Sent to Town Of Watterstown Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Town Of Watterstown, Wisconsin, on November 7, 2024. The request, made by SW Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, sought information about new voter registrations.

Specifically, we at SW Wisconsin News requested a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. This request was made under the provisions of the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., with a preference for receiving the data in an electronic format.

As part of our ongoing commitment to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such public records is essential.
