The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced on May 13 that it will celebrate approximately 1,037 graduates during its 216th commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 16. The events will take place throughout the day at Bo Ryan Court in Williams Fieldhouse.

The ceremonies mark an important milestone for students completing their degrees and for the university community. The celebration is divided into three separate ceremonies by college.

The College of Liberal Arts and Education ceremony will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, recognizing graduates from humanities, social sciences, education, as well as master’s and associate degree candidates. The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science ceremony follows from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm for students in STEM fields. At 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture will honor those entering business, applied sciences, agriculture and industry.

A new feature this year is a reception hosted by the UW-Platteville Alumni Association at the Markee Pioneer Student Center after each ceremony for graduates and their families.

Final exams for all UW-Platteville students are scheduled from May 18 through May 22. More information about schedules and commencement details can be found at uwplatt.edu/commencement.

The university’s spring commencement highlights student achievements across diverse academic areas while providing opportunities for families to join in recognition events.
