Viroqua Area School District had the highest enrollment among Vernon County districts, welcoming 1,030 students during the 2023-24 academic year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.
Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 94.7% of the Viroqua Area School District’s total enrollment.
Among the six districts in Vernon County, Westby Area School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 995 students, while Hillsboro School District welcomed 477 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.
