The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association announced on Mar. 18 the selections for the 2026 Division 5 girls basketball all-state team, highlighting standout performances from across the state.
The announcement recognizes players who made significant contributions to their teams during the season. The list includes both first-time honorees and returning athletes who have previously received all-state recognition.
Izabel Durst of Barneveld and Jaedyn Zdroik of Pacelli were named to the all-state team for a third time. Durst led Barneveld to consecutive state tournament appearances, averaging 20.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game for the Golden Eagles, who finished with a record of 22-8. Zdroik helped Pacelli secure its first Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association state championship in program history by averaging 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and five steals per contest for the Cardinals.
Other repeat first-team selections include Kylie Butler and Brooke Wellnitz of Argyle/Pecatonica and Jordyn Jaglinski of Assumption. Butler averaged 20 points per game and surpassed the career milestone of 2,000 points in January while leading her team to a sectional semifinal appearance with a record of 22-5. Wellnitz contributed with averages of over eighteen points and eleven rebounds per game for Argyle/Pecatonica as they also reached a sectional semifinal.
Jaglinski led Assumption to an eighteen-win season while averaging seventeen points per game; she was instrumental in helping her team win last year’s Division 5 state championship.
Additional honorees include Mya Dernbach (Almond-Bancroft), Elly Gardner (Columbus Catholic), Avery Glenz (Eleva-Strum), Arabelle Kniseley (Independence/Gilmanton), Emma Sampson (Fall River), Ella Van Order (Pacelli), and Samantha Veldkamp (Sheboygan Christian). Several players also received honorable mention recognition for their performances throughout the season.
The WBCA’s annual all-state selections highlight individual excellence within Wisconsin high school basketball and serve as recognition for athletes’ hard work during the year.
