82 percent of applicants to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Platteville enrolled 8,955 students in fall 2018, including 8,123 in undergraduate and 832 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

77 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 21 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (88 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (5 percent).

The school admitted 82 percent of the 3,872 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 53 percent enrolled.
