The Richland Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 8
Kaylee has had a superb month of October competing in cross country. As a two-sport fall athlete, both playing volleyball and running cross country, Kaylee has exceeded the high expectations of her coaches, teammates, and herself.
What makes Kaylee great is not just her effort and performance when running, but also that she is a great teammate. She gets along well with everyone and is always encouraging her teammates to do the best that they can.
In just her first year running cross country, she earned a 1st Team All-Conference award in the Division 2 Southwest Wisconsin Conference. To top it off, Kaylee earned a trip to the State Championship race for Division 2 – the first Richland Center/Ithaca runner to do that in 13 years! Kaylee placed 19th out of 151 runners in Division 2 at the State meet with a time of 19:56.2. As a coach, I couldn’t be prouder of all that she has accomplished in her first year running cross country.
