City Of Janesville issued the following announcement on April 28.
A portion of Douglas Street from East Racine Street to Sycamore Street and Sycamore Street from South Ringold Street to South Fremont Street were recently closed to through traffic for water main replacement work.
Pavement reconstruction work on both streets will now begin approximately May 2. The project will take up to seven weeks to complete.
Contractors will generally maintain local access to driveways within the closure.
This work is part of the City’s annual street rehabilitation program.
