Of the 5,605 people living in Prairie du Chien in 2020, 45.6 percent (2,555) were women and 54.4 percent (3,050) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SW Wisconsin News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 544. In the 65 and over age range, there were 720 females and 528 males.
