Event Description:

You’d be hard pressed to find a community with a population less than 5,000 residents that offers more unique and incredible attractions than Dyersville, IA. Our day will begin at the National Farm Toy Museum - the number one farm toy experience in the world. Relive the evolution of Iowa’s agricultural industry through these small-scale farm toy exhibits spread out over two floors.

Our next stop is the Plaza Antique Mall. With over 250 booths in this 22,500 sq. ft. mall you'll find everything from Advertising, Pottery, China, Depression, Stoneware, Jewelry, Farm Memorabilia, Toys, Sports Memorabilia, Oil & Gas, to Classic Autos. After and included lunch buffet we'll visit the stunning Basilica of St. Francis Xavier. One of 82 Basilicas in the United States, this is the only Basilica in a rural community. The beauty, featuring 64 burnt colored Cathedral windows and two towering spires, will leave you in awe.

Then it's off to the Field of Dreams, site of the award-winning 1989 film. We'll learn about the site from a Ghost Player and have time to wander the field and grounds. Before starting home we'll stop by the TOMY (Ertl) Factory Outlet Store featuring toddler toys, farm toys and collectibles plus so much more! Moderate walking.
