Event Description:
Reedsburg Area Helping Hands has been facilitating the School Supply and Backpack Program for many years. We fill anywhere from 100-150 backpacks each year.
The mission of Reedsburg Area Helping Hands is to help provide basic need to underprivileged children in the Reedsburg School District. We identified many years ago, that for children to start school with a backpack (which is a requirement) as well as needed school supplies is a basic need. Our efforts are an attempt to help meet the needs of these community children, so they can start school on equal footing with their classmates. Our hope is that we can collect enough supplies to help these children throughout the school year.
Basic supply list includes Ear buds, Crayola crayons, markers and colored pencils, Ticonderoga#2 pencils, 3 ring binders, wide lined loose leaf paper, wide lined spiral notebooks, wide lined composition books, calculators, yellow highlighters, pocket folders, rulers, scissors pens (red, blue or black)
There are collection boxes in several businesses and churches around the Reedsburg Community. Please feel free to drop your donations in any community box.
Monetary donations are also accepted. Make checks out to Reedsburg Area Helping Hands and send to 624 N Willow St. Reedsburg 53959.
