Operation Honor Bound and the Baraboo 21 are excited to announce another Veterans Breakfast on Friday March 3rd to be held at the Baraboo High School. Any and all military Veterans and their family members will be treated to a free breakfast prepared by Heavenly Smoked Roasters of Baraboo. The menu will include scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy, fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls, juice, and coffee. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow Veterans from surrounding communities. The event is open to all military Veterans and National Guard/Reserve service members living in Sauk County. While the event is being held in Baraboo, Veterans living in the surrounding communities of Lake Delton, Reedsburg, Sauk Prairie and other areas are welcome to attend. For the early risers, doors will open at 6:00am for donuts and coffee. Breakfast will be served from 6:30-8:00am. The gathering will include an hour-long ceremony of patriotic music, guest speakers, and a presentation, ending at 9:00am. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Veteran baseball caps or their Veterans organization garrison cap. Due to COVID, we were unable to honor Persian Gulf Veterans on the 30th anniversary of Desert Storm in 2021. This year, we are inviting all Gulf War Veterans to be recognized and receive a 30th anniversary medallion.
