73.6% of Vernon County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 30,719 citizens living in Vernon County in 2021, 73.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 22,606 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 11,379 were male, constituting 50.3%, and 11,227 were female, making up 49.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Vernon County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78%.
