Vernon County had unemployment rate of 2.2% in 2021

Vernon County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 302 people out of the 30,719 living in Vernon County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Vernon County has decreased compared to the 2.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Vernon County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 13,726 people who had a job during that time, 13 were employed in the Armed Forces and 13,713 belonged to the civilian labor force.
