FOIA Request to Vernon County Regarding Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Logs on October 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have submitted a request for records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., specifically targeting FOIA logs sent to Vernon County from January 1, 2024 till October 7, 2024.
The requested records include specific fields such as the requester's name and organization, content of the request, date of the request and its completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA. This information is essential in our role as journalists to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public.
