The Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce is working to enhance tourism in the region by partnering with Discover Mediaworks, the producers of the “Discover Wisconsin” television show. The initiative aims to showcase Baraboo's attractions through a dedicated segment on the program, which has been promoting Wisconsin tourism since 1986. “Discover Wisconsin” is recognized as the longest-running tourism series in the country and has earned multiple Emmy Awards and National Telly Awards.

Filming for the "Discover Real Baraboo" segment is set to begin later this year, with an expected air date in spring 2026. George Althoff, Executive Director of the Chamber, stated that initial meetings have taken place to discuss which local attractions will be featured. Notable sites like Circus World, Devil’s Lake State Park, and the International Crane Foundation are likely candidates.

The Chamber emphasizes that this project aims to attract overnight visitors, benefiting the entire community economically. Updates on this initiative will be shared in future editions of the Chamber Review.

Certificates expire one year after purchase, and merchants have a 30-day grace period post-expiration for reimbursement. Businesses are encouraged to seek reimbursements quarterly or monthly if handling a large volume of certificates.

If holders find themselves unable to spend their Chamber Bucks close to expiration, they can exchange them at the Chamber office for new certificates with extended validity.
