On Monday, March 24, former Reedsburg Area High School standout Sydney Cherney’s current collegiate team the Grand Valley State Lakers won 60-32 against the Gannon Golden Knights in the NCAA Division II Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, this was the first game against the Gannon Golden Knights during the championship.

Sydney Cherney’s hometown is Reedsburg and game position is guard.
