Set to coincide with Flag Day, Baraboo's Big Top Parade will take place on June 14. The event promises a variety of attractions, including nearly 90 parade entries ranging from marching bands to clowns and community floats.

"We wanted to follow the theme of Circus World's 2025 big top show, which is 'Holidays!'" said Nanci Jenks, co-chair of the Big Top Parade Committee. "Because our parade date coincides with Flag Day, we decided to celebrate America."

The parade will begin at 11 a.m., marking the start of a weekend filled with circus-themed activities. Events kick off on June 12 with Concerts on the Square featuring Professor Stich’s Original Circus Band. On June 13, the Al. Ringling Theatre will screen Charlie Chaplin's film "The Circus," accompanied by music from the Barton organ.

On parade day, entertainment includes performances by Forward! Marching Band, the UW Alumni Band, and the Wild Rumpus Circus before the parade begins at 11 a.m. Former Circus World Executive Director Scott O’Donnell will serve as grand marshal for this year's parade. A highlight of the event is the return of the Ringling Brothers Bell Wagon.

"We love showcasing Circus World's unparalleled collection of antique wagons in the parade," said George Althoff, Executive Director of the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce. His organization collaborates with the Big Top Parade Committee to organize this unique event. "We can’t wait to hear the bells ring through the streets of Baraboo again," Althoff added.

Post-parade activities include visits to Circus World for their "Holidays!" show at 1:15 and 3:30 p.m. In addition, at 7 p.m., Ringling Theatre will present the film “Big Fish,” featuring O’Donnell and his circus; he will also lead a discussion after its screening. Downtown Baraboo Inc. contributes by hosting a “Tour of Wagons,” where local artists' paintings are displayed across 16 businesses.
