Upland Hills Health has received the American Heart Association’s Commitment to Quality award, a distinction given to 158 hospitals nationwide. The award recognizes hospitals that show consistent excellence in at least three clinical areas within the Get With The Guidelines program.
The recognition highlights Upland Hills Health’s efforts to improve care in stroke, heart failure, and resuscitation by using evidence-based practices and participating in several clinical registries. These efforts are aimed at improving patient outcomes, safety, and long-term health.
“This award represents more than national recognition—it reflects our team’s unwavering focus on quality,” said Lisa Schnedler, President and CEO of Upland Hills Health. “It’s a testament to the collaboration, innovation, and compassion that drive our mission every day.”
The Get With The Guidelines initiative provides hospitals with data tools, peer benchmarks, and protocols to help standardize care and achieve better results over time. Hospitals earning this award have used these resources to make measurable improvements across different specialties.
“Our clinical and emergency teams share a unified goal: to deliver the right care at the right time, every time,” said Dr. Joe Hansen, Director of Emergency Services at Upland Hills Health. “Being among such a select group of hospitals shows the strength of our quality-first culture.”
This latest honor adds to previous American Heart Association awards earned by Upland Hills Health for stroke care and resuscitation performance.
Upland Hills Health states its ongoing commitment is to provide safe and high-quality experiences for patients in all its services, including clinics, hospital care, nursing and rehab centers, medical equipment stores, home care, and hospice.
