Scott Krug, a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 72nd district since 2011, recently shared his views and experiences on social media, touching on local sports enthusiasm and past election victories.
On August 9, 2025, Krug commented on the atmosphere in Milwaukee during a recent event, stating, "That crowd 'pop' was WWE like..excitement in Milwaukee is real!!"
Two days later, on August 10, 2025, he discussed the performance of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Krug wrote, "I’m close to saying this team is the most exciting Brewers team of the century!! CC’s magical run, Tony Plush, Fielder bombs, Braun walk-offs.. seems the excitement level now is at least equal (if not greater than)"
In a post dated August 12, 2025, Krug reflected on his electoral history. He stated: "Including beating the longest serving member in State Assembly history by over 1,000 votes in a very blue district ;) We also beat the sitting Speaker of the Assembly that same election in ANOTHER deep blue district. CANDIDATES matter MORE than maps.."
Krug has served as a representative for Wisconsin's 72nd House district since his initial election in 2011. He succeeded Marlin D. Schneider after defeating him by more than one thousand votes—a notable victory given Schneider's status as both a long-serving assembly member and a Democrat representing what is considered a "very blue" or heavily Democratic area.
