There were 3,387 students enrolled in Juneau County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 3.5% less than the previous school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Data also showed that white students comprised 88.8% of the student body in Juneau County schools—the largest share—followed by Hispanic students at 5%, multiracial students at 3.9%, and Black students at 0.9%.

Mauston High School had the highest enrollment among Juneau County’s 23 schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 365 students.

Wisconsin ranked 29th in the U.S. for student-to-teacher ratio at 14:1, according to a study by AAA State of Play.
