Scott Krug, a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 72nd House district since 2011, has recently posted several comments on his Twitter account regarding county clerks and election drop box regulations.

On September 24, 2025, Krug expressed appreciation for local officials in a post: "Have said it before and will say it again. We have the best county clerks in the country! Congrats @ashreichert27 !!"

Later that day, Krug addressed concerns over election drop boxes and the lack of uniform standards following recent court decisions. He stated: "Making every drop box reach the same standards for security, safety & integrity is an 80% issue. The courts left a void stating drop boxes are allowed. No current law describes how.

Choice for both sides right now is…no regulations OR standards for use.

Time for regulation" (September 24, 2025).

The following day, on September 25, 2025, Krug posted a brief message simply saying: "Brewers".

Krug has served in the Wisconsin State Assembly since replacing Marlin D. Schneider in 2011 as representative of the state’s 72nd House district.
