Dozens of attractions in the Baraboo area will be featured in an upcoming episode of “Discover Wisconsin,” a half-hour television program that highlights communities across the state. The episode, which was funded by the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to begin airing in October on television stations throughout Wisconsin and other markets.
Chamber members are invited to attend a special Member Appreciation Event at the Al. Ringling Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 15, where they can preview the episode before its public broadcast. Admission for the event is $10 and includes catering by The Relish Tray Bistro. A cash bar will also be available. Doors open at 5 p.m., with a program starting at 6:30 p.m. featuring an on-stage discussion with producer Lindsey Hayes, who is originally from Sauk County. The screening of the “Discover Wisconsin” episode will take place at 7 p.m.
“‘Discover Wisconsin’ reaches millions of viewers through a combination of network, cable, and satellite stations, and through its digital presence across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube,” according to information released by organizers.
The episode about Baraboo will highlight several Chamber members and showcase local attractions such as Devil’s Lake State Park, Circus World Museum, area wineries, Ochsner Park Zoo, and Downtown Baraboo. Organizers noted that due to time constraints not all local features could be included in the half-hour show.
