FOIA Request to Village Of Wauzeka Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As an organization committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to these records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that this information will help us in disseminating vital information about voter registration trends and patterns which is of great interest to the public.
We have requested that these records be provided in an electronic format for ease of access and analysis. In light of our role as a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver.
We await a response from the Village Of Wauzeka and look forward to continuing our work in bringing light to important local governmental affairs.
