FOIA Request to Town of Wyalusing Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. The information requested will aid us in disseminating vital information to the public regarding voter registration trends and participation in the democratic process.
We believe that as media professionals engaged in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver. We await a positive response from the Town of Wyalusing as we continue our mission of keeping the public informed about important local governmental affairs.
