FOIA Request to Town of Dodgeville Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at SW Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024. The request was sent to the Town of Dodgeville on November 7, 2024.
As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In our request, we have also asked for a fee waiver as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. We await a response from the Town of Dodgeville and will keep our readers updated on any developments.
