FOIA Request to Village of Lake Delton Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Lake Delton. The request, sent on November 7, 2024, seeks access to a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, we believe in the importance of holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill these professional responsibilities.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. We await response from the Village of Lake Delton and will keep our readers updated with any developments.
