Upland Hills Health has been recognized as one of the 2025 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This accolade acknowledges the hospital's dedication to delivering high-quality and compassionate care to its community.

The Chartis Center for Rural Health evaluates rural hospitals nationwide through its comprehensive Rural Hospital Performance INDEX. The Top 100 designation is based on excellence in key performance areas such as quality of care, operational strength, and financial stability.

"We had this Top 100 Critical Access Hospital standing pre-COVID, and vowed that we would regain this recognition when the pandemic ended," stated UHH President and CEO Lisa Schnedler. "I could not be prouder of this team. This standing takes an incredible amount of hard work and dedication each and every day. This team did it. My thanks also goes to the Board for its leadership and the community for allowing us to care for you. It is a privilege to serve with this team."

"This recognition celebrates the dedication of hospitals like Upland Hills Health that continue to provide exceptional care while navigating the challenges of rural healthcare," said Michael Topchik, Executive Director of The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

Upland Hills Health remains committed to its mission of providing outstanding healthcare close to home. They emphasize their commitment to ensuring a safe and optimal experience for every patient who visits their clinics, hospital, nursing and rehab center, medical equipment store, or those receiving Home Care or Hospice services.
