The Richland Hospital and Clinics is offering a free safeTALK suicide prevention course on Wednesday, June 18, from 10 AM to 2 PM. The training aims to equip participants with the skills needed to help prevent suicide through awareness and communication. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.

The course title "safeTALK" stands for "Suicide Alertness for Everyone," with "TALK" outlining the steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe. This method has been effective in preventing suicide by promoting open dialogue and guiding individuals through a four-step process to assist those who are struggling.

Registration is necessary due to a limit of 20 participants. Interested individuals can register online at https://www.richlandhospital.com/events/safetalk-class/.
