Under the artistic guidance of playwright Marcia Jablonski, the Alley Stage Reading Series is set to feature works by Midwestern writers. The series focuses on the creative ecosystem of the Driftless Area and offers playwrights a platform to present their works-in-progress. Each reading will be followed by a talkback session at Alley Stage, providing playwrights with audience feedback to help refine their scripts.

The readings are scheduled for Sundays at 4 p.m., with subsequent discussions and receptions at the Art Cafe. In case of rain, events will move to Sardeson Studio. Tickets and more information can be found on Shake Rag Alley's website.

On June 8, Phil Darg's "AI Gore Rhythm" will explore humanity's growing reliance on technology. Darg has an extensive portfolio, including "Sasquatched! The Musical" and "The ABC’s of LGBT at the Rainbow Valley B ‘n’ B."

Richard Conlon's "One Time," scheduled for August 17, tells a story spanning decades. Conlon is recognized for his work in social satire and has been involved with Chicago Dramatists.

Robert Lynn's political comedy "Stop the Monsanity!" will be performed on September 7. Lynn is known for plays like "The ReGifters" and has participated in various theater festivals.

Shake Rag Alley also announced several upcoming events, including a book reading by Kao Kalia Yang on May 16 and an art party featuring pink eraser block printing on May 21.
