The State of Wisconsin has allocated $5 million to support preservation and infrastructure projects at Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic estate in the Driftless Region. This funding is part of the 2025–2027 state budget and will aid Taliesin Preservation, Inc. (TPI) and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in their efforts to preserve this historic site.

Phillip Prange, Chair of the TPI Board of Trustees, expressed gratitude for the state's bipartisan support. "Taliesin is more than a historical site—it is a living, evolving asset that drives tourism, inspires innovation, and celebrates the enduring legacy of America’s greatest architect," he said.

The 800-acre estate serves as a home, studio, and learning laboratory that attracts over 30,000 visitors annually from across the globe. In 2024 alone, it contributed nearly $4 million to Southwestern Wisconsin's regional economy.

Carrie Rodamaker, Executive Director of Taliesin Preservation, emphasized the significance of this investment. "This is a pivotal moment," she stated. "The state’s support provides momentum for the complex and ongoing work ahead."

Mark Dreher, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, described this funding as a meaningful commitment to preserving one of Wisconsin’s cultural landmarks. Joseph Specter, President and CEO of the Foundation added appreciation for recognizing Taliesin's national importance.

As a National Historic Landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site component, Taliesin plays an integral role in both Wisconsin's identity and global architectural history. The funds will facilitate further preservation efforts aimed at ensuring its resilience and accessibility.
