Upland Hills Health has marked its 15th consecutive year of accreditation for its Sleep Disorders Center by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). This recognition highlights the hospital’s ongoing commitment to care for individuals with sleep disorders.
The Sleep Disorders Center offers diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and narcolepsy. The AASM sets high standards in areas like staff qualifications, facility quality, patient care, and quality assurance. Upland Hills Health has met or surpassed these standards for nearly twenty years.
“Reaching this milestone demonstrates the high-quality, compassionate care our team delivers every day,” said Lisa Schnedler, CEO of Upland Hills Health. “Maintaining accreditation for 15 years exhibits our dedication to upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and ensuring that patients across our region can access the care they need to sleep better and live healthier lives.”
“Sleep plays a critical role in overall health and well-being, and many people don’t realize just how common and treatable sleep disorders are,” said Katie Wendt, Director of Heart, Lung, and Sleep at Upland Hills Health. “Our team is proud to deliver trusted care close to home, helping patients improve their quality of life and, in many cases, prevent serious long-term health issues.”
Patients at the center receive care from physicians and technologists who collaborate to identify sleep issues and recommend appropriate treatments. These efforts help diagnose various sleep disorders and support personalized care plans.
Upland Hills Health states its commitment to providing a safe experience for every patient across all its services.
