UW-Platteville Online recognized for 10 top programs in the U.S.

University of Wisconsin - Platteville issued the following announcement on Dec. 16

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's online and graduate programs are ranked amongst the best, according to Intelligent.com. The rankings are based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation.

Ten of UW-Platteville's programs earned high rankings, including seven in the top 25 in their area. That includes being the top-rated university for the Master's of Science in Organizational Change Leadership, second-place ranking for the online Master's of Science in Criminal Justice category, and third in the Master's of Science in Project Management category.

"It's always humbling to receive national recognition of our programs and reflect the good work of individuals across the institution," said Dr. Carolyn Keller, assistant provost of graduate programs, assessment, teaching and distance learning. "What stands out in these rankings is not only the breadth but the depth of our quality. Our experience and leadership in online education throughout our decades-long history well-positions us for future innovation."

Intelligent.com's methodology ranked each program on a scale from 0 to 100 across five categories. The scoring system compared each university according to program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost, and student engagement. In all, researchers compared 704 programs from 2,900 universities and colleges across the United States.

Experts at Intelligent.com noted that UW-Platteville offers flexible distance learning that appeals to busy adults. In addition, they assessed that the programs help students enhance and develop advanced skills for a variety of in-demand positions.

"We can be proud of these accomplishments, and these rankings also serve to motivate us to continue to offer degrees that increase the knowledge base of our graduates and provide them with skills that are immediately applicable in today's economy," added Keller.
