FOIA Request to Village of Argyle Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at SW Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Argyle. The request, dated November 7, 2024, seeks access to a list of new voters who registered on Election Day - November 5, 2024.
We believe that public access to such records is crucial for comprehensive and accurate news coverage. As a media organization, it is our responsibility to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public.
In light of our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as media professionals. We await the response from the Village of Argyle and will keep our readers updated on any developments.
