There were 1,055 students enrolled in River Valley School District in the 2024-25 school year, 3.2% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 52.4% identified themselves as boys, 47.6% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 93% of the River Valley School District total enrollment.

River Valley School District covers five schools within Sauk County, with its main office in Spring Green.

Among the five schools in the district, River Valley High School recorded the highest enrollment of 364 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin ranks 22nd in the U.S. for public education spending, with an annual expenditure of over $16,500 per pupil, totaling $13.8 billion per year.
