Enrollment at Southwestern Wisconsin School District increased by 2.1% compared to previous school year

There were 528 students enrolled in Southwestern Wisconsin School District in the 2024-25 school year, 2.1% more than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 50.4% identified themselves as boys, 49.6% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 94.1% of the Southwestern Wisconsin School District total enrollment.

Southwestern Wisconsin School District covers three schools within Grant County, with its main office in Hazel Green.

Among the three schools in the district, Southwestern Wisconsin Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 281 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
