There were 440 students enrolled in De Soto Area School District in the 2024-25 school year, 3.3% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 50.7% identified themselves as boys, 49.3% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 93.2% of the De Soto Area School District total enrollment.

De Soto Area School District covers five schools within Vernon County, with its main office in De Soto.

Among the five schools in the district, De Soto High School recorded the highest enrollment of 133 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin ranks 22nd in the U.S. for public education spending, with an annual expenditure of over $16,500 per pupil, totaling $13.8 billion per year.
